Hello and welcome to my website!
After having the privilege of living out my childhood dream of playing over 1000 games with some of the best organizations in hockey, the Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Dallas Stars, I’ve now successfully made the transition into life after hockey. Now that my NHL playing career has finished, I thoroughly enjoy spending more time with my family and meeting new people across Canada at hockey rinks, public appearances and various different types of events.
As you may know, I’ve battled Ulcerative Colitis throughout my playing career. Since retiring, I’ve put a lot of effort into raising awareness and educating people about UC. My hope is that by creating awareness, people who have or are diagnosed with UC know that it can be managed and there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I enjoy working alongside Andrew and his team at Jackson Events, which allows me the opportunity to make appearances and be a part of many great events. It’s truly rewarding to share stories of my playing days with fans and at corporate events, while supporting great causes at the same time.
I also keep busy by running Tappo Wine Bar and Restaurant in Toronto, alongside my business partner Armando Russo, and my family still owns and runs the popular Corson’s restaurant in Barrie. I can often be found sitting with my brother-in-law, Darcy Tucker, in front of the big screen at Corson’s discussing various hockey topics. If you’re interested in events I’ll be doing at either Corson’s or any other location throughout the year, please visit my website for the latest updates. Thanks again for checking out my site!
